Much of sweat has been spent in trying to gather information on the quantum of pay hike due to 6th pay commission and other issues in fine print have not been bothered about much. Even the so called hike of about 15% has disappointedrank and file. Those in PB-4 stand benefitted significantly in absolute and relative terms.
In an article by citizens alliance, it is revealed how the IAS lobby has successfully maintained an upper hand in emoluments as well as powers in comparison to even top specialists be it scientists or doctors - through their pervading presence in vial committees. This state of affairs has reportedly demoralised the contributing class. It has ended with a note saying that 21st century India can not function under 19th century civil service. Well said!
